Net loss widens for ML Macadamia Orchards in 2nd quarter

ML Macadamia Orchards LP said its net loss widened during the second quarter as boosted nut sales and contract farming revenue.
The company reported a net loss of $398,000, or 5 cents per Class A share. That compared to a year earlier loss of $356,000 or 5 cents a share.
The Hilo-based company said nut revenue rose to $937,000 in the three months ended June 30 as it had $875,000 in kernel sales from inventory.
It said a year earlier nut revenue amounted to $599,0000, of which $504,000 was in kernel sales from inventory.
Contract farming revenue rose $40,000 to $666,000.
