Hawaii Winter Baseball is conducting its second annual food drive to benefit the Women's Domestic Abuse Shelter on Aug. 23 at the Pearl City Shopping Center.

The drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot fronting Kamehameha Highway. Besides nonperishables, checks will be accepted.

The league's season starts Sept. 27 at Hans L'Orange Field and Les Murakami Stadium.
