Cy Okino won her second Hawaii State Women's Match Play Championship in four years today when she defeated Nicole Sakamoto, 5 and 3, at Oahu Country Club.
Okino, who is about to start her sophomore year at Punahou School, was the youngest ever to win this event when she captured the title at age 11 in 2005.
Okino never trailed, building a 3-up after 10 holes.
She played those 10 holes in 2-under par.
Sakamoto won the 11th hole but hit her approach shot in the bushes in the 13th and lost that to go back to 3-down.
Okino birdied the 14th to go 4-up and the match ended when Sakamoto three-putted on the 15th.
