A man was killed in a traffic wreck on Maui early this morning, Maui police said.

Police said the man, whose name was not released, was on the Honoapi'ilani Highway near highway marker 15 at 2:40 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and crashed.

No other details were immediately available, police said.
