Pikai Winchester drove in four runs and Tanner Tokunaga hit a grand slam to help Waipi'o rally past Tampa, Fla., 10-2, and clinch a spot in the United States semifinals of the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pa.

Waipi'o faces Rapid City, S.D., in its final pool play game tomorrow. The game is scheduled for 9 a.m. Hawai'i time and will be telecast on ESPN2.

Trevor Ling earned the victory in relief, allowing two hits in three shutout innings. he struck out four and walked one.

Trailing 2-0, Winchester hit a two-run single with the bases loaded with no outs in the third inning. Ling's sacrifice fly to right field gave Waipi'o the lead, and Caleb Duhay's infield hit to shortstop made it 4-2.

Winchester drove in two runs with a double in the fourth to give Waipi'o a 6-2. lead.

The big blast came in the bottom of the fifth when Tokunaga hit a grand slam to center field for a 10-2 lead. Jedd Andrade and Keelen Obedoza were hit by pitches and Christian Donahue reached on a throwing error by the third baseman to fill the bases for Tokunaga with two outs.

Waipi'o is 2-0, while Tampa and Shelton, Conn., who will face each other tomorrow, are 1-1. Because Waipi'o holds the tiebreaker having beaten both teams, it clinched first place in the pool and will face the second place team in the other U.S. pool in the semifinals. Rapid City, S.D., is 0-2 and out of contention.

Top two teams from each of the two United States pools advance to the U.S. semifinals, which will be played Wednesday. The U.S. winner plays the International division winner for the World Series championship next Sunday.
