Patrtiots Tom Brady may sit out 3rd exhibition with foot injury

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady isn't sure if he's going to play in Friday night's exhibition game against Philadelphia because of a foot injury.
Brady, who also missed the first two preseason games, said his goal is to be ready for New England's regular-season opener Sept. 7 against Kansas City.
Brady, the reigning NFL MVP, spoke on WEEI radio in Boston on Monday. He said the injury is different than his ankle problem heading into last season's Super Bowl, a 17-14 loss to the New York Giants.
Brady did not travel to the Patriots' 27-10 road loss in Tampa Bay on Sunday night. He also missed the first game, a 16-15 home loss to Baltimore.
