Former Hawaiian Telcom leader Mike Ruley will has been name CEO of Sparkplug Inc., a Chicago-based provider of fixed wireless business broadband services.

Ruley abruptly resigned from Hawaiian Telcom in February where he had served as chief executive officer since Oct. 2004.

Ruley will replace Sparkplug CEO Bill Malloy as part of a planned leadership transition, the company said in a news release. Malloy will will move to the position of chairman of Sparplug's board of directors.,
