3 arrested in vehicle robbery, kidnapping case

A man and two women were arrested in Waikiki yesterday for investigation of second-degree robbery and kidnapping.
According to police, the three are suspected of confronting a man, 31, and woman, 29, at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Waipahu. The male suspect allegedly assaulted the victims, demanding they sign over title of their Lincoln Navigator to him.
The man drove the Navigator to a Pearl City storage unit where the title to the Navigator was signed over as well as a second vehicle owned by the victims.
The two women allegedly followed the Navigator in their own vehicle.
The three were arrested at 1777 Ala Moana. The man, 24, and one of the women, 30, both of 'Ewa, were arrested at 12:05 a.m. while the second woman, 41 of Waipahu, was taken into custody at 2:15 a.m.
The three were being held last night at the main police station but were not charged.
33 DUI CHARGES OVER WEEKEND
Three multiple repeat offenders were among 33 motorists charged with driving under the influence over the weekend in Honolulu.
Thomas Dias III, 37, and Kevin R. Barnett, 31, had bail set at $2,000 each following their arrests yesterday while bail for David E. Mark, 31, was $1,500. Mark was also charged with driving without a license, with bail set at $500.
Repeat offenders charged included Norman A. Harding, 29; Wesley Joseph Scanlon, 20; Brucely Hikarip, 32; Jason M. Miwa, 37; Shaun P. Canon, 60; Siale Ataongo, 59; Richard Barrett, 44; Chauncey K. Jarvis, 28; and Eva K. Tavares, 27. Bail for each was $1,000.
Bail for first-time offenders charged was $500 each.
