A brush fire that started Saturday in Wailea is still smoldering, Maui County fire officials said.
The fire has burned about 155 acres of brush near the Maui Meadows subdivision.
In a separate incident, a brush fire Monday in Kihei caused more than $12,500 in damage to equipment and landscaping plants. About five acres were burned in the fire, which did not spread to any structures. The fire started Monday afternoon, and was extinguished shortly after 9 p.m.
Both fires remain under investigation.
