NFL: Vikings McKinnie suspended by league for 4 games

MINNEAPOLIS — The NFL suspended Minnesota Vikings left tackle Bryant McKinnie for four games without pay today for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
McKinnie has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a street brawl outside a Miami nightclub in February. He will be eligible to return to the Vikings' active roster on Sept., following the team's Sept. 28 game against Tennessee.
The Vikings had no comment, Jeff Anderson, the team's manager of public affairs, said. Telephone messages left by The Associated Press for McKinnie's attorney, Larry Kerr, and agent, Ben Dogra, were not immediately returned.
McKinnie has been the Vikings' starting left tackle for the last 87 games, dating to the middle of his rookie season.
