For the first time, the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation will be offering online registration for recreation classes that charge no fees.

In order to register online, users must establish an online account. As of now, users can go to www.honoluluparks.com and establish an online account. A valid e-mail address is needed to register for an account. All new account requests will be processed within five business days.

The online registration dates for the 2009 Spring Program are Dec. 22 to Jan. 5.

Walk-in registration for all parks between Koko Head and 'Aiea will begin on Jan. 12 and end on Jan.14. For all parks between Pearl City to Wai'anae and from Waimanalo to Waialua, walk-in registration will be held from begins Jan. 14 to end on Jan. 16.

The Spring Program begins on Jan. 26.
