Hawai'i's living legends of the air — pilots and crew who flew in World War II — will be honored tomorrow at the second anniversary "Hangar Dance" at the Pacific Aviation Museum — Pearl Harbor on Ford Island.
The museum said the public is invited to spend an evening with museum, military, civic and community dignitaries. The event is from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Guests also will see the unveiling of the Lt. Ted Shealy Restoration Shop, hear plans for the restoration of the museum's second phase, Hangar 79, and participate in an evening of dining, dancing and an auction to benefit the museum's fundraising efforts.
The 18-piece Monday Night Orchestra will provide 1940s music and 16 "living legend" WWII aviators will be honored.
Tickets at $300 and $150 per person are still available. Access to Ford Island is by shuttle. Call 441-1000 for more information.
