Punahou quarterback Cayman Shutter, who Friday led the Buffanblu to their first state football title, has accepted a football scholarship to play for the University of Hawai'i.
Shutter originally had committed to New Mexico, but decided to opt out of that deal.
He said he notified the UH coaching staff of his decision last night.
On Friday, Shutter completed 24 of 41 passes for 400 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a score in Punahou's 38-7 victory over Leilehua.
UH also has a commitment from Punahou's other quarterback, Kimo Makaula, who was being recruited as a defensive lineman.
