Several rescues were reported to be under way this afternoon as severe weather ripped across O'ahu.

HFD Capt. Earle Keahloa said several people were rescued off a kayak tour at Kailua Beach Park.

There were also reports of children in rushing water at Kaneaki Bridge on Wai'anae Valley Road.

A house was reported flooded in Waialua on Kakea Circle.

Kaukona Lua Road was closed by a fallen tree.

And a number of flood homes were reported in Makaha, said city spokesman Johnny Brannon.
