ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Buffalo coach Dick Jauron says rookie wide receiver James Hardy will miss the rest of the season after tearing a ligament in his left knee early in the first quarter against the New York Jets yesterday.
Hardy, the Bills' second-round pick out of Indiana, was hurt blocking down the right sideline on a 35-yard run by Marshawn Lynch. He had nine catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns this season.
The Bills (6-8) play Sunday at Denver (8-6) and close out the season at home against New England (9-5) on Dec. 28.
