A 17-year-old boy was arrested early today in Wai'anae for investigation of firearm and drug offenses.
The boy was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a girl, 17, that was stopped at 1:35 a.m. for a traffic violation by a patrol sergeant. During the stop, it was discovered the girl did not have a driver's license.
While talking to the driver, police noticed the boy acting nervous and allowed him to exit the vehicle. While he was outside, an officer saw the butt of a pistol under the right passenger seat. During a search of the boy, police allegedly recovered a packet of marijuana.
