A power outage prompted Hawaii Baptist Academy to send children home yesterday morning at about 9:30 a.m.
George Moyer, vice president for academics, said power was restored to the school about 11:30 a.m.
Some 1,070 students, in grades kindergarten through 12th grade, attend the school, which has two campuses in Nu'uanu.
Power was reported lost in Nu'uanu, and in the School Street and Liliha Street areas, police said.
A power line was down near 2029 Nu'uanu Avenue.
