Police say Diamond Head Road will likely be closed in both directions overnight after a rockslide.

The rockslide happened about 5 p.m. near the middle lookout, a police dispatcher said.

She said crews are at the scene clearing rocks off the roadway.

A state geologist has also been sent to the area to determine whether more rocks are in danger of falling.
