NBA: Warriors' Jackson likely out until Friday

Associated Press

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Golden State Warriors small forward Stephen Jackson is expected to be out until Friday against Boston because of a sprained left hand.

Jackson, averaging 18.6 points per game, aggravated the injury at the shootaround Friday and did not play that night against Atlanta.

He also did not suit up against Charlotte today, and coach Don Nelson said he'll probably skip games at Orlando on Monday and Miami on Tuesday.

"We're going to give that a chance to heal up a little bit," Nelson said. "Whenever he's feeling better about it, he can play."

The injury left the Warriors without their top two scorers. Corey Maggette, averaging 19.1 points, missed his eighth straight game Saturday with a strained right hamstring and isn't with the team. Nelson said he was unsure if Maggette would join the club on the road trip.
