NBA: Nuggets' Anthony out for 2 games with sore elbow
Associated Press
DENVER — The Denver Nuggets say Carmelo Anthony will sit out the next two games with a bothersome right elbow.
The team said Monday the All-Star forward may return Friday against Philadelphia.
Anthony has been hampered by the elbow injury since training camp and it's grown progressively worse in the past couple of weeks. He was held to just 10 points on 3-of-13 shooting in a loss to Phoenix on Saturday.
Anthony is averaging 20.5 points and 7.4 rebounds this season.
The Nuggets play host to Portland Monday and play in Portland on Tuesday.
