CFB: La. Tech nearing Independence Bowl sellout

SHREVEPORT, La. — Independence Bowl officials say Louisiana Tech fans are on their way to selling out the school's full allotment of tickets.
The Bulldogs have their first bowl appearance since 2001 when they play Northern Illinois in Shreveport on Sunday.
Tech has sold over 11,000 tickets and is expected to sell all its 12,000 tickets. Independence Bowl Executive Director Missy Setters says that sales pace is comparable to support from Alabama fans when the Crimson Tide played in Shreveport in 2007.
