Mayor: Oahu power may be out for 12 hours
Mayor Mufi Hannemann said the power outage that hit most of the island of O'ahu may last for 12 hours at the least.
Hannemann, who was speaking at the city's Emergency Operations Center, said Hawaiian Electric officials said it may be about 8 a.m. Saturday morning before the power is restored.
Hannemann said the officials were unsure of the cause.
