Associated Press
The National Weather Service has issued a high-surf advisory for east-facing shores until noon today, with surf in the morning 6 to 8 feet before diminishing to 5 to 7 feet this afternoon.
A new west northwest swell is expected to arrive Tuesday and build into Wednesday, producing surf near the advisory levels for west- and north-facing shores.
Elsewhere today, surf will be 1 to 3 feet along north-facing shores and 2 feet or less along west and south shores.
