ARCHITECTS HAWAII

David Bylund has been named principal and will continue as director of design for Architects Hawaii Ltd. Bylund has been with AHL for five years and was previously a senior associate/director of design. Also, Jean-Louis Loveridge, Lisa Rapp and Lester Ng have been promoted to senior associate, and Matt Bickel and Marni Murdock have been promoted to associate positions with the company.

Architects Hawaii provides architectural, planning and interior design services in the hospitality, commercial retail and office, residential, healthcare, institutional and industrial facilities markets.

KAKAAKO IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION

The Kakaako Improvement Association has announced the 2008 officers and board of directors. The officers are: president, Robert Oda of Kamehameha Schools; vice president, Donna Farrell of General Growth Properties; and secretary/treasurer, Stacey Suzui of Central Pacific Bank.

Board members are: Marlene DeCosta of CB Richard Ellis Hawaii Inc.; James Frierson of Island Pool & Spa Supply; Beverly Harbin of the Small Business Advocacy Center; Kendall Hee of Engineers Surveyors Hawaii Inc.; Jay Kadowaki of J. Kadowaki Inc; Paul Kimura of City Fender; Greg Meier of Jamba Juice/P.F. Chang's; Dexter Okada of U. Okada & Company; and Alison Wong of Bank of Hawaii. Sherry Goya is the association's executive director.

L&L FRANCHISE

L&L Franchise Inc. has named Bryan Andaya as its new chief operating officer. He will oversee all day-to-day operations, including accounting and financing, buying and distribution, franchise compliance and quality assurance, franchising and strategic development, product development, human resources and marketing.

A Big Island native, Andaya currently practices law with Imanaka Kudo & Fujimoto.
