The poetry slam season rolls on at 8:30 tonight at the Hawaiian Hut. The ongoing First Thursday competition leads up to the fifth HawaiiSlam's finals in April that will determine who represents Hawai'i in the 2008 National Poetry Slam.
Tshaka Menelik Imhotep Campbell, a Londoner of Jamaican descent, will be the featured slammer. A poet for 10 years, Tshaka was a member of the 2004 Nuyorican Slam Team, the 2005 San Francisco Slam Team and the 2006-07 Hollywood Slam team.
Kealoha hosts, with live painters, massages in the lounge and a guest DJ at the turntables.
