Pearlridge Center has awarded $50,400 to the nonprofit Hawaiian Railway Society for its service to riders of the Pearlridge Express over the holiday season.

The funds will help the organization maintain and restore some of its locomotives and passenger cars.

The Hawaiian Railway Society provides engineers and conductors for the Pearlridge Express children's holiday train each year.
