Contractors for Hawaiian Electric will be performing utility work in the Nanakuli and Maili areas beginning today. The work will continue through Friday, with the exception of Presidents Day on Feb. 18.

The project is expected to be completed by Feb. 22.

Crews will be working between Manununu Street and Maipalaoa Street in Maili and between Auyong Homestead Road and Helelua Street in Nanakuli. One Wai'anae-bound lane of traffic will be closed in the project areas between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Signs, cones and traffic control personnel or special duty police officers, if available, will be used to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians in the work areas.
