Thousands of volunteers needed for 2010 Vancouver Olympics
TORONTO — The 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter games begin in two years, and officials launched an online search today for thousands of volunteers.
The Call for Volunteers hopes to land 25,000 volunteers with the help of two Web sites — www.volunteer.workopolis.com and www.vancouver2010.com.
Workopolis is the official supplier of online recruitment for the games, and will send street teams to Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Whistler, Vancouver and Squamish.
Volunteers must be over 19 by Sept. 1.
