BOSTON — Guy Morse, who as the executive director of the Boston Athletic Association is one of the top officials in charge of the Boston Marathon, was injured in a fall, requiring surgery on both legs.
Morse, 56, had bilateral quadriceps surgery to repair ruptured tendons in both legs, the BAA said today. Morse, who also is being treated for prostate cancer, is expected to require several weeks of rehabilitation.
The BAA said Morse will continue his work for the organization during rehab.
Morse was injured on Feb. 1.
