Rainbows beat Vulcans, 5-4, in 11 innings

Derek DuPree's single scored Kevin Fujii from third base with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning gave Hawai'i a 5-4 victory over Hawai'i-Hilo in the baseball season opener for both teams tonight at Les Murakami Stadium.
In the bottom of the 11th Fujii hit a bunt single down the third-base line and went to second on a sacrifice bunt by Nathan Young. Fujii moved to third on a ground out by Jonathan Hee. DuPree then hit a single just past UH-Hilo second baseman Michael Higa to give the Rainbows the victory.
Higa went 3 for 4, including a solo home run in the sixth inning.
