Todd Iacovelli of Kailua and Casey Owens of Des Moines, Iowa, were the top male and female finishers, respectively, in today's Great Aloha Run.

Iacovelli finished the 8.15-mile course from Aloha Tower to Aloha Stadium in 41 minutes, 38 seconds. He was followed by Christian Madsen of Honolulu (41:46) and Brandon Laan of Honolulu (43:11).

Owens won in 47:51, followed by Bree Wee of Kailua, Kona (47:56) and Eri Macdonald (48:44).

A total of 20,877 started the run, according to event officials and included 3,939 from the military.
