ACCUITY

Accuity has announced the promotions of Madeline Duffey and Michelle Gibson.

Duffey will serve as human resources manager, responsible for supervising payroll, benefits, training and human resources systems. She has 11 years of experience in human resources, seven of which are in the public accounting field. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.

Gibson has been promoted to assurance supervisor; she has four years of assurance experience with the firm. She will oversee audit services to major clients in the hospitality, higher education and real estate industries and will continue to provide service to these clients. She obtained her master's in business administration in accounting and bachelor's in business administration in accounting and marketing from the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.

Accuity is one of the largest accounting practices in Hawai'i.

PM REALTY GROUP HAWAII

PM Realty Group Hawaii, a regional arm of the nationwide commercial real estate firm, has named Manuel DeCosta senior property manager for City Financial Tower in Honolulu. He will oversee the fiscal and physical operations of the office building, while working to ensure low vacancy and optimal property value.

Previously, DeCosta served as property manager for Transpacific Development Co., where he spent 14 years managing Pacific Park Plaza. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations of the building, he administered leases and provided tenant services.

DeCosta is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Building Owners and Managers' Association, the Institute of Real Estate Management and is a licensed real estate salesman.

HAWAII MEALS ON WHEELS

Hawaii Meals on Wheels recently announced the appointment of Everett Kaneshige to its board of directors. Kaneshige is currently chief operating officer, director of marketing and development and in-house legal counsel at Monarch Properties Inc. He also served as a consultant with Borran USA Inc., president/chief executive officer of Pocket Real Estate, associate/partner with Alston, Hunt, Floyd & Ing and deputy attorney general for Hawai'i.

Kaneshige served as an officer and member of Ronald McDonald House Charities for more than six years. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Hawai'i-Manoa and juris doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

Also announced was the appointment of Lot T. Lau to the board of directors of Hawaii Meals on Wheels. Lau recently retired from the Elderly Affairs Division of the City and County of Honolulu, where he served as senior information and assistance services coordinator.

He is also a retired hospital administrator and was employed in various capacities in the healthcare industry for 25 years. Lau received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and master's in business administration from the University of Chicago.
