Repaving will affect H-1 lanes starting Sunday
Advertiser Staff
Overnight repaving work along H-1 Freeway will again mean that the Zipperlane will be deployed into formation Sunday evening and fewer lanes going westbound.
Motorists won't be able to use the Zipperlane until its regularly scheduled time of 5:30 a.m. Monday.
However, motorists should be aware that the Zipperlane's deployment will mean there will be two fewer lanes on H-1 westbound from the Airport Viaduct to Waikele from about 5 p.m.
Construction itself will take place from 9 p.m. Sunday to 4:30 a.m. Monday.
The repaving job, which is running through the summer, is for the portion of the freeway between Waipahu Street and Waikele Stream Bridge.
Nightly roadwork, with no early Zipperlane deployment, will resume on Monday night through Friday morning from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. nightly.
