Iolani, Punahou advance to state girls hoops final

No. 1 will meet No. 2 for the girls state basketball title at Stan Sheriff Center tomorrow.
Punahou, behind 20 points from Shawna-Lei Kuehu, crushed Radford, 58-28, at Farrington and Iolani, behind 20 points and 17 rebounds from Jamie Smith, whipped Waiakea, 67-45, at Kaimuki gym.
The two Interscholastic League of Honolulu rivals jocked for the No. 1 ranking throughout the year.
Punahou (13-1) has been No. 1 for the past four weeks in the Advertiser's Top 10 poll of media and coaches. 'Iolani (15-2) was No. 1 the week of Jan. 22.
