Thieves nabbed in Waianae by auto security system

A man and woman who allegedly stole a vehicle from a Honolulu car dealership lot today were tracked by the auto's built-in OnStar security system and eventually arrested in Wai'anae.
The woman driver, 44, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. on suspicion of auto theft and her male passenger, 49, for second-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Both were also arrested for third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Charges are pending.
