Courts: Judge refuses to postpone O.J. Simpson trial

Associated Press

LAS VEGAS — A judge is refusing lawyers' requests to postpone O.J. Simpson's armed robbery trial in Las Vegas.

Clark County District Court Judge Jackie Glass summoned lawyers and prosecutors to court to tell them she's sticking to the April 7 trial date agreed to in November.

Simpson and co-defendants Clarence "C.J." Stewart of North Las Vegas and Charles Ehrlich of Miami weren't required to be in court for the Wednesday hearing.

Lawyers for Stewart and Ehrlich say they need more time to prepare for trial and that prosecutors haven't shared all the evidence. They may appeal.

The three men are accused of robbing two sports collectibles dealers who were peddling Simpson memorabilia last September.
