Nanakuli-Maili board candidates announced

Two dozen candidates have applied to run for the newly created Nanakuli-Maili Neighborhood Board Number 36.
A special election will be held on March 14 and 15.
The candidates in alphabetical order are:

Candidate profiles are available at www.honolulu.gov/nco and will be posted at the polling stations.
Any current resident of these communities who voted in the 2006 statewide elections is eligible to vote in this special election.
Voters may cast ballots in any of three polling stations:
Eligible voters must present a valid ID before casting their vote at a polling site.
In addition, eligible residents may request an absentee ballot by calling 768-3717 before March 5. These must be mailed in no later than March 11.
Election results will be released no later than March 17, and will be verified by the Neighborhood Commission at its March meeting.
