Teen stabbed at Kalihi housing

Police last night were investigating a stabbing at Mayor Wright Homes in Kalihi.

A boy, 17, was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition, said Honolulu Emergency Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic. The stabbing was reported about 9 p.m.


'EWA BEACH MAN CHARGED IN ATTACK

An 'Ewa Beach resident who allegedly ran down a man with his car during an argument Monday night in Waipahu was charged yesterday with attempted second-degree murder.

James Tacotaco "Keke" Martinez, 24, was held in lieu of $500,000 bail at the main police station cellblock.

Police said Martinez was arguing Monday night with Karl Acosta, 43, to whom he owed money for electronic equipment. A witness told police that as Acosta walked away, Martinez got into a silver Honda Civic, drove at Acosta and hit him.

Acosta was was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.


KAUA'I PEDESTRIAN SERIOUSLY INJURED

A 67-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured yesterday when she was hit by a vehicle in Princeville, Kaua'i.

The pedestrian was standing in the middle of Pepelani Loop, waiting to cross Kahaku Road at 7 a.m., when she was struck by a vehicle making a left turn onto Pepelani Loop.

Police cited the 53-year-old woman who was driving on suspicion of making an illegal turn.
