ALTRES Staffing is donating and installing eight new audio systems worth $18,000 in classrooms at Nanaikapono Elementary School in Nanakuli.

The donation is part of a pilot program funded by ALTRES to bring audio enhancements to Hawai'i's schools, the company said in a news release.

Each system includes an amplifier, wireless microphone system and four ceiling-mounted speakers.

Four kindergarten to fourth-grade classrooms at Nanaikapono are being equipped this week with the systems to help improve the learning environment, officials said.

Teachers will be trained on Jan. 22 and ready to use the systems by the time students are back in school, the release said.
