Adventure seekers are invited to take a six-mile hike along Ka'ena Point from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, January 21. Past Wai'anae, Makaha and the Makua Military Reservation, Ka'ena Point is the westernmost part of O'ahu, and the point at which the Wai'anae Coast and the North Shore come together.

The Ka'ena Point nature reserve is remote, rugged and rarely seen by visitors or residents. Participants will be able to identify native Hawaiian plants and may see nesting albatrosses, monk seals and whales.
