Former Hilo resident Kimberly Kim is one of seven amateur golfers to receive sponsor invitations to play in the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the LPGA's first major of the year. The tournament is April 3 to 6 at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Kim, 16, became the youngest U.S. Women's Amateur champion in 2006. She was named to the U.S. Curtis Cup team earlier this week and is the No. 1 junior golfer in the current GolfWeek rankings.
