Training for Waipahu residents interested in joining or starting either a citizens' patrol or neighborhood security watch is set for 5 p.m. today at the Weed & Safe Community House Safe Haven II, the blue building on 94-132 Pupupuhi St.

People from throughout Waipahu are invited. While there are some neighborhood security watches and citizens' patrol programs in some portions of Waipahu, there are none currently in the so-called "Pupu" neighborhood.
