Get tax-filing assistance from state, IRS on Feb. 9

When the IRS comes calling on Wai'anae taxpayers on Feb. 9, it will be with aloha.
The Internal Revenue Service, along with the state Department of Taxation, will be on hand to answer questions, offer assistance in tax preparation (including free electronic filing) and help with tax bills and correspondence, among other things.
The tax helpers will be at the Wai'anae Public Library from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Taxpayers must bring proper identification along with pertinent records, correspondence and copies of their prior year tax returns.
