ST. PAUL — The Minnesota Wild acquired defenseman Marek Zidlicky from the Nashville Predators today in exchange for forward Ryan Jones and a second-round picked in the 2009 NHL draft.
Zidlicky, 31, spent four seasons with Nashville, and had 175 points and 299 penalty minutes in 307 games. In 2007-08, he led all Predators defensemen in points and assists.
Jones was Minnesota's fourth-round pick in the 2004 draft. Last season, he played in eight games for Houston of the AHL after leaving the University of Miami-Ohio.
