The median sale price of previously owned single-family homes on O'ahu continued to slide in June with an 8.8 percent drop from the same month a year earlier to $625,000

The decrease was the biggest for any month this year, but was exaggerated by the fact that the June price was compared to a record high median of $685,000 in June 2007.

the June median price of $625,000 was higher than the roughly $600,000 median in January and February, and about even with the March median of $628,000. Sales last month were down 31.4 percent to 232 homes from 338 a year earlier.

In the condominium market, the median sale price in June was $327,500, down 1.9 percent from $334,000 a year earlier. It was the first median price decline for any month this year. Condo sales were down 35.1 percent to 355 from 547 in the same period.
