A community meeting to discuss the latest design for the Lahaina Skate Park will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Lahaina Civic Center Social Hall.

The county Department of Parks and Recreation has hired Grindline Skateparks Inc. of Seattle to design a concrete skate park up to 22,500 square feet in size. The park, to be built behind the Lahaina Aquatic Center, will accommodate users of all skill levels.

Based on information collected at a community meeting in October, Grindline will present a more developed conceptual design of the skate park.
