Nine months after making a racial slur that threatened to end his reality TV career, Hawai'i-based bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman begins a new season tonight on A&E.
"Dog the Bounty Hunter" will begin its fifth season with an episode at 6 p.m. (Hawai'i time) on A&E. It repeats at 10 p.m.
Last November, the network suspended the show — one of its highest rated — after Chapman used the n-word when referring to his son Tucker's African-American girlfriend. The private call had been recorded and Chapman apologized afterward. Months later, the network brought the show back and resumed filming this spring.
