Tennis: Acasuso advances at Dutch Open

AMERSFOORT, Netherlands — Second-seeded Jose Acasuso defeated Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-3, 6-4 today to advance to the Dutch Open quarterfinals.
The Argentine was joined in the last eight by fourth-seeded Marcel Granollers of Spain, who defeated countryman Ivan Navarro 6-4, 6-4.
Another Spaniard, fifth-seeded Albert Montanes, also beat Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay 6-4, 6-4.
Rain forced officials to suspend Oscar Hernandez's match against Jesse Huta Galung of the Netherlands, with the Spaniard leading 6-3, 1-0.
Top-seeded Marc Gicquel, defending champion Steve Darcis, Teimuraz Gabashvili and Christophe Rochus have also reached the quarterfinals.
