Aug. 9 concert to benefit Tupuola keiki

A benefit concert for the children of Janel Tupuola is being held next month at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park.
Tupuola, who was beaten to death with a shotgun in a Kailua street by her ex-boyfriend boyfriend in January, left behind five children, ages 1 to 13.
The concert, which will include performance by locals acts 3 Scoops of Aloha, Big Every Time (BET), Simplicity, Crosswinds and Ilona Irivine, is being organized and promoted by Tupuola's niece, Diamond Badajos.
The event will also include booth booths, keiki games, prize giveaways and a silent auction. All the proceeds from the event will help establish a benefit fund for the Tupuola children.
The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. August 9. Admission is a $20 donation. For ticket information, call Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park, 674-9284, or www.hawaiianwaters.com. Tickets are also on sale at Hawaii's Natural High, 926-3000.
