POEHLER BRANCHES OUT TO SPINOFF
NEW YORK — Amy Poehler has confirmed that she'll join the planned "Office" spinoff, paving the way for her eventual exit from "Saturday Night Live."
Speaking yesterday shortly after her Emmy nomination for outstanding actress in a comedy series on "SNL," Poehler said: "I can kind of confirm that I will be working in some capacity on that show. I don't really have any other details yet."
Poehler, whose husband Will Arnett also got an Emmy nomination yesterday (for his guest role on "30 Rock"), is pregnant and due in October.
BONO WINS BATTLE OVER DUBLIN HOTEL
DUBLIN, Ireland — U2 stars Bono and The Edge won a four-year legal battle yesterday to reshape their old-fashioned Dublin hotel, the Clarence, into a futuristic landmark. Ireland's planning board approved a $235 million plan to gut the riverside hotel, more than triple the number of its rooms to 166 and feature a massive, floodlit glass-roofed atrium.
Bono, The Edge and their partner, Paddy McKillen, said the verdict is "great news for Dublin and for Temple Bar (the neighboring tourist district) in particular."
HEIGL GETTING NEW 'GREY'S' ARC
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Katherine Heigl is sticking with "Grey's Anatomy" despite voicing displeasure about last season's script quality, the network's programming chief said.
Heigl's comment last month — that she didn't put her name in for Emmy consideration because she hadn't been "given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination" — had raised speculation that she might want to leave the ABC medical drama.
"She's absolutely staying with the show. There's an unbelievable story line for her this year, which is really central to everything that's going to go on this season," ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson said Wednesday.

Police said they have video from patrol-car cameras and audio from officers' microphones but would not elaborate on their contents.
Brolin, Wright and five film crew members were arrested Saturday at the Stray Cat Club on misdemeanor charges of interfering with police. Brolin and Wright each posted a bond of $384.
